The Little Written Art project

works with writers to create small, original works of writing and then distributes the written art on a community level through a growing network of Little Free Libraries.

A CREATIVE PROJECT FOR WRITERS

Written art doesn’t have to be in the form of a book to be accessible or distributed by a major publisher in order to be valuable. Some of the best pieces of art come from the hearts of writers who are empowered to deeply express themselves – and then given a pathway to connect with readers.

The Little Written Art project taps the creative power of writers, lifts writers up, and increases access to written art – one little piece of writing at a time.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Purchase your packet (and may we suggest one for a friend?) and receive your materials in the mail.

2. Complete the interactive guidebook, connect with what you deeply want to say, and write from the heart.

3. Submit your completed written art in the enclosed envelope for us to distribute to readers on your behalf.

SMALL BUT MIGHTY:

 The process and benefits.

The Little Written Art project provides an exciting opportunity to create tiny pieces of writing and have them distributed to readers who could benefit from accessing written art.

The Writer’s Packet includes everything you'll need to create your written art: inspiration, cards to write on, an interactive guidebook, and step-by-step instructions. Put your heart into it and enjoy the creative process.

In a few hours, you’ll have a piece (or two) of written art completed and ready to contribute. This offers a deep sense of satisfaction by having completed a work of writing… while doing something beneficial and impactful.

When you are done creating, send your written art back to us. We'll place it in a beautiful display folder and send it along with other original pieces of art to one of our Little Free Library partners, where it will be made available to readers in the library’s community, providing access to unique writing and celebrating your voice.

The world needs more art and connection. Through this project, readers will have the opportunity to receive your message and connect with your words… and you will have made a small yet important difference through your writing.
